Our ongoing work at a local railway depot has seen the infrastructure modified to receive the new Class 385 type trains. These are electric multiple units being built by Hitachi Rail for operating in Central Scotland. The maintenance bays have been modified to suit the new vehicles with the addition of a raised access platform so that work can be safely undertaken on the vehicle roofs beside the eletrical supply cables.
