We have just completed the supply and fitting of lift pipes, scoops, scrapers and troughs at the Seafield WWTW. Corosion is one of the main concerns with this equipment and the components are either galvanised or painted with a special paint sytem.
The primary settlement tank is where all the sewers empty into so prior to entering the tank it is scraped and cleaned to make it a better environment to work in. All the newly supplied and fitted components look clean and tidy in the pictures, but they’ll soon be covered in sewerage and waste water! This spell of dry weather has meant that the tank has remained dry durring the maintenace period making progress easier. Well done to everyone involved.
