We have now got our new Plasma Cutting machine up and running that can plasma cut steel, stainless and aluminium plates up to 30mm thick. It can take a 2.5 x 1.25m plate. The operators are getting used to the programming but it also comes with an extensive library of templates that you modify the sizes of each item being cut. The software then nests all the components to reduce the amount of offcut/scrap produced. It can also be set up to use all sorts of flat bars and offcuts.
The attached picture shows a slotted hole flange that took five minutes to programme and cut, the nipple was then welded in place followed by a quick coat of paint. The machine should allow us to respond to our customers urgent requirements .
